Does the baby have to be alone during the smash?
No. Many babies at this age are more comfortable with mom or dad nearby. We can do the smash with the baby alone, with a parent kneeling beside them out of frame, or with the parent directly in the photo. We decide together based on how the baby responds during the session.
What if my baby does not want to touch the cake?
It happens frequently, especially at first. We give time — we place the cake nearby and let the baby explore without pushing. Sometimes it helps for mom or dad to show how to touch it. If the baby simply does not want the smash that day, we still have complete clean portraits that are equally valuable photos.
How many photos do I receive from a cake smash session in Smyrna?
